Job Summary: MLee Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist. The Speech Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication disorders, speech impairments, and swallowing difficulties. Using specialized techniques and therapies, the Speech Therapist will work collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving communication and swallowing abilities in patients of all ages, from children to adults.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve speech clarity, articulation, language comprehension, and expression.
- Implement techniques and exercises to enhance vocal quality, resonance, and fluency in speech.
- Teach strategies and techniques to improve communication and language skills.
- Administer and interpret diagnostic tests and evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, psychologists, and social workers to coordinate patient care.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on speech therapy techniques, exercises, and strategies for home practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Stay informed about advancements in speech therapy techniques, research, and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Masters’ Degree in speech language pathology from an accredited university program
- Min 2 years recent Acute clinical experience in diagnosing and treating speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Active State license
- Compact RN license is a plus
- BLS from AHA required
