MLR is looking for a talented and compassionate Ultrasound Sonographer to join a respected medical team in Vermont. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging, and prioritizing patient comfort during procedures. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and vascular studies.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment with proficiency, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate results.
  • Assess and evaluate images to identify abnormalities and communicate findings to physicians and healthcare providers.
  • Provide patient education and support, ensuring patients understand the procedure and are comfortable throughout the process.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed patient records and documentation in accordance with medical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and contribute to diagnostic decisions.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and departmental procedures.
  • Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Previous hospital experience necessary
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in hospital setting
  • ARDMS certification required
  • Associates Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or ARDMS eligible
  • BLS
