Laboratory Director - Hospital Setting - MT - ASCP

McCall and Lee has been engaged by a community-based hospital to recruit a Director of Laboratory to join their team. Summary:

The Laboratory Director oversees day to day functions of the laboratory to ensure high quality diagnostic testing and all laboratory activities comply with organization and regulatory agency standards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science

License and Certification:

  • Louisiana Licensure or willing to get Licensure
  • ASCP or AMT Certification

Experience:

  • Preferred at least three years-experience in laboratory leadership or strong generalist background.
  • Knowledge of and recent experience with automated analyzers including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality control and necessary record keeping.
