We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in Breaux Bridge. In this essential role, you will play a key part in preparing the operating room, assisting during surgeries, and maintaining a sterile field to ensure patient safety. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to the success of every procedure.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain a sterile field during surgery, ensuring that sterile techniques are followed
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and materials during procedures
• Perform accurate counts of instruments and materials before, during, and after surgery
• Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
• Clean and restock the operating room after each procedure
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain patient safety
• Document surgical counts and other necessary patient information
• Collaborate effectively with other surgical team members to ensure optimal patient care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
