Director of Surgical Services

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead our surgical department. As the Director of Surgical Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our surgical services, including operating rooms, perioperative areas, and other surgical support services. Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the surgical services department, including overseeing the management of operating rooms, perioperative areas, and other surgical support services.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, best practices, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to establish and maintain effective communication channels and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of resources, including staff, equipment, and supplies, to optimize patient care delivery and achieve financial targets.
  • Promote patient safety and infection control practices throughout the surgical services department.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in surgical techniques, technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation and excellence in surgical services.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in surgical services, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical services operations, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, drive change, and achieve results.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation.
