We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Operating Room Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our surgical services.
Position Overview:
As the Operating Room Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our surgical department. Your leadership and organizational skills will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and efficiency within the operating room.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide effective leadership to the operating room staff, including surgeons, nurses, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the operating room, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Coordinate surgical schedules, allocate resources, and optimize workflow.
- Staff Development: Recruit, train, and mentor operating room staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices. Collaborate with other departments to maintain high standards of care.
- Budget Management: Participate in budget planning and manage resources efficiently. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising patient care.
- Equipment and Supplies: Coordinate the procurement and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies. Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and that necessary supplies are readily available.
- Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with other departments, including anesthesia, pre-operative, and post-operative units.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency protocols to handle unexpected situations within the operating room.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of [2] years of experience in perioperative nursing with progressive leadership responsibilities.
