MLR Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. In this important role, you will perform various nuclear medicine procedures that support the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare to our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nuclear medicine procedures, such as SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
- Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals following hospital protocols.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment like gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners to produce high-quality images.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during all procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate and timely imaging reports.
- Maintain detailed records of patient information, procedure specifics, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure.
- Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and report any issues promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
- Current certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) in nuclear medicine.
- State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and related software.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety protocols.
