What You’ll Do

  • Perform Comprehensive Ultrasound Exams
    Conduct a variety of exams including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular, and musculoskeletal studies with accuracy and precision.
  • Operate and Optimize Imaging Equipment
    Utilize advanced ultrasound systems and adjust parameters for optimal diagnostic imaging.
  • Prioritize Patient Comfort and Care
    Position patients properly, explain procedures clearly, and create a safe, supportive environment during exams.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals
    Partner with radiologists, physicians, and clinical teams to interpret imaging findings and support timely clinical decisions.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation
    Record detailed imaging data and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system while upholding HIPAA and privacy standards.
  • Ensure Safety and Regulatory Compliance
    Follow clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and standards set by HIPAA, AIUM, and the facility.
  • Monitor and Maintain Equipment
    Conduct regular equipment checks, ensure proper functioning, and promptly report any technical issues.
  • Engage in Professional Development
    Stay current with the latest technologies and techniques in sonography through ongoing education and training.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.

Certification & Licensure:

  • Certification through ARDMS or ARRT(S) is required.
  • Kansas state licensure as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (if applicable).

Experience & Skills:

  • 1+ year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred (new grads welcome).
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and diagnostic imaging techniques.
  • Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and healthcare technology systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-focused, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends or on-call rotations.
