Echo Technologist Position Summary

• Conducts diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including TEE, EEG, EKGs, stress tests, EECP, ICG, and ambulatory monitoring, for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician. The technologist operates ultrasound equipment proficiently to produce high-quality images across various settings. They also explain procedures to patients, address any questions, and provide exceptional customer service. The echo technologist adjusts equipment settings according to procedural knowledge and established guidelines to ensure optimal results.

Echo technologist Position Requirements

• Minimum Education
  • High School graduate or GED
• Minimum Experience
  • 4 years previous experience in Echocardiography technology preferred
• Required Registration/License/Certification
  • RDCS through ARDMS or CCI
  • BLS Certification within 90 days of employment
