MLee Healthcare is looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist that will be an essential part of our diagnostic imaging team. Your role will involve performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures to aid in diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions, contributing to our goal of delivering top-notch healthcare to our community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various nuclear medicine procedures such as SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
  • Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to produce high-quality images.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide precise and timely reports on imaging results.
  • Keep accurate records of patient information, procedure details, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
  • Maintain and clean imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  • Educate patients about procedures and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and engage in continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Current certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a specialization in nuclear medicine.
  • State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and related software.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional on-call shifts.
