MLR Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. In this role, you will perform a range of nuclear medicine procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, contributing to our commitment to providing outstanding healthcare to the community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
  • Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals according to hospital protocols.
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate, timely reports based on imaging results.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient information, procedures, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
  • Clean and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  • Educate patients on procedures, answering any questions or addressing concerns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Current certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a focus on nuclear medicine.
  • State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and related software.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care.
