ASCP Blood Bank Manager

• Manage daily operations of a blood bank, including collection, processing, storage and distribution of blood and blood products.
• Oversee the recruitment, training and supervision of staff and volunteers.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards, such as FDA and AABB.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for blood bank activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage inventory and ensure timely availability of blood products.
• Prepare and manage budget and financial reports.
• Maintain and update donor database and blood bank records.
• Promote blood donation programs and community outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with medical and scientific staff on research and new developments in the field.
• Ensure the safety of blood and blood products through regular testing and monitoring.

• 5 years experience as a Medical Technologist
• Two years experience in Blood Bank preferred
• Two years supervisory experience preferred
