MRI Technologist

Summary: MLR Healthcare is looking for a skilled MRI Technologist. You will be tasked with operating MRI equipment to produce scans based on physician instructions. Your role will include screening patients, explaining procedures, and maintaining and troubleshooting equipment. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and training junior MRI technologists will also be part of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Review patient histories and conduct screenings for pacemakers and injuries involving metal objects.
- Prepare and administer contrast dyes as needed.
- Address patient concerns and ensure their comfort during scans.
- Perform routine inspections of MRI equipment, scheduling maintenance and repairs as necessary.
- Position patients and conduct MRI scans according to physician specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in MRI rooms.
- Prepare reports and escalate any issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R)).
- Obtain advanced MRI certification within one year of hire if not already registered.
- Hold and maintain a current Radiographer State License.
