What You’ll Be Doing

• Conducting in-depth patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and tailoring care plans to individual needs
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic medical conditions in conjunction with physicians or independently (as per credentialing)
• Guiding patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and effective management strategies
• Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your area of expertise
• Participating in chronic care management and following up with patients
• Joining forces with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, seamless care
• Maintaining thorough documentation and accuracy using electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Indiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
