Schedule: Full-Time | 4x10 Night Shifts (Monday–Thursday, 8:30 PM–7:00 AM) 

 Pay Range: Starting at $30.40/hour, commensurate with experience 

 Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 for eligible candidates

Operating Room Nurse Overview 

As a vital member of the surgical team, you will deliver patient-centered care during all phases of operative procedures. From circulating and scrubbing to coordinating patient safety and comfort, you’ll work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure each operation runs seamlessly. 

 

OR Registered Nurse Responsibilities 

Deliver Surgical Care Excellence 

 Support a wide range of surgical cases—including bariatric, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and gynecologic procedures—while adhering to evidence-based protocols. 

Ensure Patient Safety 

 Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery; uphold infection prevention, aseptic technique, and procedural safety standards. 

Support the Team 

 Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members, anticipate needs, and contribute to efficient OR flow and case turnover. 

Manage Complex Situations 

 Respond to changes in patient condition quickly and calmly, escalating to appropriate clinical support when needed. 

Educate and Reassure 

 Provide pre- and post-operative guidance to patients and families with compassion, clarity, and professionalism. 

Demonstrates Nursing Competencies: Standard I – IV 

 

Technical Skill Highlights 

  • Expertise in sterile technique, OR protocols, and patient positioning 
  • Skilled in surgical case prep and intraoperative documentation 
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and medical order processing 
  • Ability to lift/move more than 50 lbs and stand for long periods 

 

Requirements 

Licensure & Certifications 

  • Active RN license in Indiana or Compact Multi-State license 
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (provided) 
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire (provided) 

Education & Experience 

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred 
  • Previous OR experience required 
  • Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills
