Neuro Diagnostic Technologist

Full Time, Days, 40 hours per week

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Neuro Diagnostic Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Neuro Diagnostic Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic tests on patients to assist in the assessment and treatment of neurological conditions. This position requires a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct neurodiagnostic tests, including electroencephalograms (EEGs), to assess and monitor neurological activity.
- Prepare patients for testing procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Analyze test results and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings and develop treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnostic procedures and treatment options.

Requirements:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- R.EEGT. Credential (board registered electroencephalographic technologist) and/or completion of an Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostics Program.
- Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and neurological disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current CPR certification (preferred).
- Must be able to provide direct patient diagnostic testing and treatment through assessment and independent judgment.
- Ability to implement the diagnostic process and secure quality patient recordings.
