Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications:
- Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program with an associated certificate or degree.
- One (1) year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
- IEMA License in Nuclear Medicine.
- ARRT(NM) or NMTCB registry required
- Maintains Basic Life support certification.

- MLR is looking for a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a growing hospital in Illinois. In this role, you will perform nuclear medicine procedures under the supervision of a radiologist, with the autonomy to manage technical details independently. The position requires adherence to ALARA principles and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners to obtain images.
- Position patients correctly and ensure patient comfort during procedures.
- Follow protocols to obtain high-quality images and maintain patient records.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and address any adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
- Perform quality control tests on equipment and maintain inventory of radiopharmaceuticals.
