Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to design individualized treatment plans based on patient-specific needs, tumor characteristics, and treatment goals.
• Utilize advanced treatment planning systems and software to create radiation therapy plans while ensuring proper dose distribution to the target area and minimizing radiation exposure to healthy tissues.
• Accurately calculate and verify radiation doses, taking into account various factors such as beam angles, energy, and patient positioning.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and verify treatment parameters to ensure safe and precise delivery of radiation therapy.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the treatment process, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence to the prescribed treatment plan.
• Collaborate with radiation therapists and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless coordination of treatment delivery and patient care.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiation therapy techniques, treatment planning systems, and relevant research to enhance the quality of patient care.
• Adhere to hospital and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Dosimetry or related field. (Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board is a plus.)
• Previous experience as a Dosimetrist in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
• Proficient in using treatment planning systems (e.g., Eclipse, Pinnacle, etc.) and other relevant software.
• Strong understanding of radiation therapy principles, treatment techniques, and dose calculation algorithms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and interacting with patients.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and delivering high-quality care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
