Radiation Therapist

MLR is seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to support the daily operations of our Radiation Oncology department. In this role, you will optimize patient flow, improve departmental efficiency, and deliver compassionate care to patients receiving treatment.
Radiation Therapist Qualifications:
- Must hold an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
- Current Radiation Therapy license issued by IEMA Department of Nuclear Safety and registry
- registry eligible with ARRT within 6 months of hire.
- BLS/CPR certification through the AHA.
Radiation Therapist Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed doses of ionizing radiation using specialized equipment.
- Prepare treatment rooms and explain procedures to patients.
- Accurately position patients and deliver treatments while monitoring their comfort.
- Simulate treatment according to established plans and adjust as necessary.
- Design custom treatment devices when required.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure optimal patient care.
