Ultrasound Technologist - Full-Time
Position Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound exams, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular studies, while also participating in on-call procedures. You will be critical in providing accurate imaging to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound procedures following established protocols and safety standards.
- Accurately assess image quality and provide necessary views to ensure diagnostic value.
- Educate and communicate with patients throughout the procedure to provide a comfortable experience.
- Assist in maintaining image records and ensure proper documentation.
- Respond to emergencies appropriately and maintain patient safety.
- Support continuous improvement of department practices and patient care.
Qualifications:
- ARRT and/or ARDMS registration is required.
- An Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) license is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in ultrasound is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of ultrasound techniques, anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Prior experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Ability to provide care across the lifespan, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
