Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team. As an SLP you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, and home health environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to children and/or adults in one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, teachers, occupational therapists, and parents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Educate and support families, caregivers, and teachers on communication strategies and therapy techniques.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education to stay current with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois state licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous experience in pediatric and/or adult speech therapy preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
