Acute Radiation Physicist
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Acute Radiation Physicist to join our team, where you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to patients. Working alongside oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals, you will help develop treatment plans, perform quality assurance checks, and optimize radiation delivery systems for the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance for radiation therapy equipment and treatment plans to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Develop, implement, and oversee protocols for radiation safety and treatment optimization.
- Collaborate with oncologists and medical staff to create personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct dose calculations and assist in implementing advanced radiation therapy techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines related to radiation safety and therapy practices.
- Educate staff and patients on radiation safety and the radiation treatment process.
- Participate in research initiatives and contribute to advancements in radiation therapy technologies and practices.
Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in Medical Physics or a related field.
- Board certification in Medical Physics (ABMP, ABR, or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and patient care.
