Position Overview:

MLR Healthcare is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our dynamic laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate results and contributing to excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities of Med Tech:

• Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses in areas such as microbiology, hematology, chemistry, and blood banking.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results by adhering to established protocols and quality control measures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide guidance on further testing when necessary.
• Document all procedures and results in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff and students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent by a recognized certifying body (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
