*MLee Healthcare is looking for a qualified Histology Technologist / Technician to join an established hospital in Illinois*
Shift Details:
- Day Shift / M-F 8a-4:30p / Rotating Weekends
Job Summary for the Histology Technologist / Technician:
- Prepares microscopic tissue slides from surgical specimens for diagnostic purposes.
- In addition, performs clerical and computer related activities with a degree of supervision dependent on experience and training.
- Duties include processing tissues, embedding them in wax blocks, cutting thin sections, staining slides, ensuring quality control, maintaining records, and equipment. You will collaborate with pathologists, perform special stains, and stay updated on advancements in histology.
Minimum Qualifications for the Histology Technologist / Technician:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in required field
- HT (ASCP) required
- Experience preferred
