Radiologic Technologist – Illinois
Up to $10,000 sign on bonus!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Imaging Procedures: Operate radiologic equipment to perform high-quality imaging (X-ray, CT, etc.) for diagnostic purposes as ordered by physicians.
- Patient Interaction: Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process; explain procedures to patients and answer any questions.
- Image Quality: Ensure that all images produced are clear, accurate, and meet diagnostic standards.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining instructions and ensuring proper positioning for the best possible results.
- Radiology Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on imaging equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and imaging reports in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Illinois State Radiologic Technologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
- Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or eligibility for certification required. Additional certifications in CT or MRI a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a radiologic technologist preferred, but entry-level candidates with the appropriate education are also encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of radiology equipment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, as well as the physical stamina to stand for extended periods during imaging procedures.
