Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense Medications: Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring proper dosage and safety.
  • Patient Consultation: Provide medication counseling to patients, answering questions about prescription and over-the-counter medications, side effects, and proper usage.
  • Medication Therapy Management: Review patient profiles and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication therapies.
  • Medication Safety: Ensure adherence to all regulatory and safety standards, monitoring for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
  • Clinical Support: Assist in the development and implementation of medication protocols and policies, working closely with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Licensure: Active Illinois Pharmacist license in good standing (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Experience: Experience in a hospital, retail, or clinical setting preferred, but we are open to both experienced and new graduate pharmacists.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
