Cytotechnologist Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to screen clinical specimens for cancer and other pathologies. The role involves documenting findings, marking abnormalities for pathologist review, performing quality control, and assisting with cytology processing to ensure diagnostic accuracy. Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential for maintaining high-quality work.

 

Cytotechnologist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field.
  • Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) by ASCP or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Cytotechnologist Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microscopic examinations of cellular samples to identify abnormalities or disease.
  • Analyze cellular morphology to detect cancerous or precancerous conditions.
  • Accurately document findings and collaborate with pathologists on complex cases.
