Cytotechnologist Job Description

• Performs routine screening of specimens, reports results, and documents daily workload records.
• Performs cytological examinations of GYN and non-GYN specimens.
• Evaluate processed specimens from multiple collection devices according to manufacturers’ specifications.
• Performs quality control assessment, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assists with the collection and processing of fine needle aspiration specimens.

Cytotechnologist Qualifications

• CT (ASCP) or eligible within one year of employment.
