Cytotechnologist Job Description

• Performs routine screening of specimens, reports findings, and maintains daily workload documentation.
• Conducts cytological examinations of both GYN and non-GYN specimens.
• Evaluates processed specimens from various collection devices in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Carries out quality control assessments, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assists with the collection and processing of fine needle aspiration specimens.

Cytotechnologist Qualifications

• CT (ASCP) or eligible within one year of employment.
