ED Nursing Director Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the overall performance and efficiency of the Emergency Department.
• Clinical Excellence: Ensure the highest standard of patient care through effective leadership, collaboration with medical staff, and adherence to best practices.
• Resource Management: Optimize departmental resources, including staffing, budgeting, and equipment, to maintain efficient operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and protocols to guarantee a safe and effective emergency care environment.
• Team Development: Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, promoting professional growth and development among the emergency department staff.

Emergency Department Director of Nursing Job Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field and BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in an emergency department setting.
• Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
• Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
