Ultrasound Technologist - ARDMS
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular studies, while adhering to established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain high-quality imaging through proper technique and routine maintenance.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients about the ultrasound process and address any questions or concerns they may have.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification.
- Valid state licensure to practice in Illinois.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques, safety protocols, and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
