Rad Tech Care Guide Summary: The Radiology Technologist Care Guide is responsible for managing the entire patient experience, from registration and payment collection to room preparation and care assistance. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, performing x-rays, and coordinating discharge and follow-up processes. Acting as a liaison, the Care Guide ensures a seamless experience while supporting patients and their guests to enhance overall clinical quality.
Rad Tech Care Guide REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Completion of a formal Radiography program with an associated certificate or degree.
- Licenses/Certifications: Licensed with IEMA; BLS for Health Care Providers (American Heart Association), to be completed within 2 weeks of hire. ARRT (R) registry eligible; must complete ARRT registry within 6 months of hire.
- Other Requirements/Information: Ability to float between clinics as needed.
- Skills/Knowledge: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient with computers and Microsoft software.
Rad Tech Care Guide PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Skills/Knowledge: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA, experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy, knowledge of urgent care, medical terminology, and Epic. Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette, with a strong understanding of available standards, resources, and data. Demonstrates discretion, good judgment, diplomacy, decision-making skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current certification as a radiology technician with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current BLS for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
