Position Overview:

 

MLR Healthcare is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to join our diagnostic imaging team. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will play a key role in providing high-quality imaging services for our patients, using state-of-the-art equipment to help diagnose a range of conditions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and other imaging studies, according to established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging results.
  • Assist physicians and radiologists in interpreting ultrasound images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain and update patient records, documenting imaging results and following HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality.
  • Ensure ultrasound equipment is functioning properly, conducting routine maintenance, and reporting any issues.
  • Stay current with new ultrasound techniques, procedures, and technologies to ensure the highest quality patient care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, offering support and answering questions to reduce anxiety and ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification, or eligible to obtain RDMS certification.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging preferred, but new graduates with clinical experience are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Proficiency in performing various ultrasound exams (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment, imaging techniques, and safety standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care and comfort.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in imaging.
