Position Overview:

MLR Healthcare is looking for a qualified Medical Technologist who will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory tests and analyses. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of diagnoses and contributing to effective patient treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of laboratory tests in areas including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood banking.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results through strict adherence to quality control procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide insights for patient care.
• Document all laboratory procedures and results in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and train new staff and students as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent by a recognized certifying body (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
