Lead Medical Technologist

McCall and Lee has been engaged by a client to recruit a Lead Medical Technologist for their growing team in Illinois.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
  • Successful completion of the ASCP or AMT Board of Certification within the first year of employment
  • One plus years of relevant Laboratory experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • As a Lead Medical Technologist, you will perform laboratory testing and related documentation functions accurately and in a timely manner to provide information for provision of patient care
  • You will perform both routine and specialized test procedures requiring independent judgement
  • You will oversee the technical functions of a laboratory section or shift
  • You will oversee the quality control activities for the technical section(s), ensuring tat these activities are complete, accurately documented, performed and reported according to policy
  • You will demonstrate knowledge and expertise in techniques and theory in section(s)
  • You will ensure timely availability of laboratory results and resolution of problems
