Histology Technician - ASCP

McCall and Lee has been engaged by a client to recruit a Histology Technician for their growing team in Illinois.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree with a combination of 12 semester hours of both biology and chemistry
  • Completion of a NAACLS accredited HT
  • One year of Laboratory experience
CERTIFICATIONS:
  • HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepares histology material for pathologist review
  • Prepares histology material using established departmental procedures and demonstrating high quality technical skills
  • Produces histology materials at or above productivity standards
  • Specimen preparation/Laboratory informatics/Safety
  • Uses laboratory informatics system to document workflow, track and identify specimens
