Radiation Dosimetrist - Hybrid Schedule

MLR Healthcare is actively seeking a skilled Dosimetrist to join our client's Radiation Oncology department. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for designing treatment plans for cancer patients using advanced treatment planning systems. The position requires a solid understanding of medical physics, radiation oncology, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of physicians, physicists, and radiation therapists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other team members to create optimal treatment plans for cancer patients.
- Utilize advanced treatment planning systems to develop accurate and efficient dose distributions.
- Perform dose calculations and optimization for various treatment techniques, including 3D conformal, IMRT, VMAT, and brachytherapy.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality and safe radiation therapy treatments.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Dosimetry or a related field.
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
- Proficiency in treatment planning systems such as Eclipse or Varian.
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy techniques and protocols.
