Job Summary:

 

MLR Healthcare is looking for a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a leading hospital in Illinois. In this role, you will independently manage the technical aspects of nuclear medicine procedures under a radiologist’s supervision, ensuring safe and effective patient care through adherence to ALARA principles and regulatory standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners, to capture high-quality images.
  • Position patients appropriately and maintain their comfort during procedures.
  • Follow protocols to ensure image accuracy and keep detailed patient records.
  • Monitor patients during imaging and respond to any adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to interpret imaging results.
  • Comply with radiation safety protocols and protection standards.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program, earning a certificate or degree.
  • Preferred: One year of Nuclear Medicine experience.
  • IEMA Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Required: ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification.
