Nuclear Medicine Technologist

MLR is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. In this role, you will utilize radioactive materials to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and accurate diagnostic results. Nuclear Medicine Technologist Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, following proper safety protocols.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners, to capture detailed images of organ function and structure.
- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate and interpret diagnostic images.
- Monitor patient conditions during and after procedures, addressing any adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate records of administered radiopharmaceuticals, doses, and imaging results.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning radiation safety and handling of radioactive materials.
- Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns before, during, and after imaging.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of nuclear medicine equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program.
- Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N).
- Valid state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and handling of radioactive materials.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
