Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) - Full-Time
MLR is actively seeking a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) to join our client’s dedicated surgical team in Idaho. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide hands-on surgical support in a collaborative and patient-centered environment, where your skills and experience will make a significant impact on patient care.
Salary Range: $81,499 - $137,010
Registered Nurse First Assist Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct surgical assistance to the operating surgeon during procedures.
- Assist in preoperative and postoperative patient care, including patient assessments and follow-up.
- Ensure precise and efficient patient positioning and assist in surgical site preparation.
- Utilize specialized skills to perform tasks such as suturing, wound closure, and hemostasis.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure a smooth and safe surgical process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records according to institutional guidelines.
Schedule and On-Call Requirements:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday.
- On-Call: 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month, with $4.00 per hour for on-call duty.
Shift Differentials:
- Evening (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM): 8% shift differential.
- Night (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM): 11% shift differential.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a perioperative setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
