Position Overview: 

MLR.org is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inpatient Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client's healthcare team. As an RN in rehabilitation, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.

 

Your expertise in clinical nursing will be essential in providing personalized rehabilitation care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's recovery goals. Job Responsibilities: 

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Care Planning: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for rehabilitation.
  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall progress throughout their rehabilitation stay.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and educate patients about their medications and potential side effects.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Assist with daily living activities, mobility exercises, and therapeutic interventions to promote recovery.
  • Education and Support: Educate patients and families about rehabilitation processes, discharge planning, and home care resources.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to coordinate patient care and optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any medical emergencies, ensuring patient safety and appropriate interventions.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices and standards of care in inpatient rehabilitation.

Qualifications: 

  • Licensure: Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations.
  • Certification: 
    • BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
    • CRRN certification preferred.
  • Experience: Clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
