Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Operate radiologic equipment to capture high-quality X-rays, CT scans, and other diagnostic images as ordered by physicians.
  • Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures; explain processes to patients and provide guidance throughout the exam.
  • Image Quality: Ensure all images are clear, accurate, and meet the diagnostic requirements.
  • Prepare Patients: Position patients correctly for imaging procedures and assist in their preparation to ensure optimal results.
  • Radiology Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance of radiologic equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active Illinois State Radiologic Technologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or eligibility required. Additional certifications in CT, MRI, or other specialties are a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a radiologic technologist is preferred but not required; entry-level candidates with appropriate education are welcome.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, and stand for extended periods during imaging procedures.
