Job Type: Full-time, Rotating Shifts

Salary: Competitive pay with $5,000 sign-on bonus

Overview: Join our dedicated team a reputable Critical Access Hospital committed to providing quality healthcare to our community. We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to contribute to our mission of ensuring positive patient outcomes through accurate and timely laboratory testing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, and Blood Bank, adhering to standard operating procedures and quality control measures.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in test results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory services.

Shift Schedule:

• Weekday shifts: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, and 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm (on-call duty).
• On-call duty: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am (20-minute response time required). (sleep rooms available)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Would consider an MLT.
• ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
