What You’ll Do: Job Responsibilities
- Assist in Surgical Procedures: Utilize your knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures to assist in invasive diagnostic and therapeutic operations.
- Ensure Sterile and Aseptic Conditions: Apply sterile and aseptic techniques to maintain safety and minimize the risk of infection.
- Set Up and Maintain Equipment: Be responsible for ensuring that surgical tools, instruments, and technologies are properly prepared and maintained for use.
- Work in Various Settings: Support surgical operations in the OR, OPS, CS, and other areas where invasive procedures are performed.
- On-Call Responsibility: Take on call hours as scheduled by the Director of Surgery, ensuring availability when required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff to ensure smooth and effective surgical procedures.
What We’re Looking For: Job Requirements
Licensure & Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- AHA BLS certification required (within 30 days of hire).
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required or ability to obtain certification.
Skills & Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of surgical procedures and the application of sterile techniques.
- Ability to effectively use surgical tools and technologies in various settings.
- Experience in handling invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
- Strong understanding of the principles and practices of surgical asepsis.
