Overview:
Join our dedicated team in the Surgical Unit, a dynamic 45-bed private room facility. We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to lead our motivated team, and provide exceptional care to adult patients requiring medical and surgical nursing. Our unit specializes in a diverse range of surgical fields, including orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology, and general surgery, alongside treating general medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients aged 17 and above in a 45-bed surgical unit.
  • Administer and monitor patient health in post-operative stages and manage various medical conditions.
  • Specialize in care for surgical patients in areas such as orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology, and general surgery.
  • Address general medical conditions including sepsis, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal issues, skin and wound care, and infections.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including Certified Nursing Assistants, Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Social Workers, and a Unit Secretary.
  • Work closely with unit-based specialists such as pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and educators.
  • Implement modified primary nursing care delivery models, ensuring high-quality patient care and support.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license.
  • Minimum of 3+ experience in a medical/surgical unit preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in handling a diverse range of surgical and medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
