Now Hiring: Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Fort Dodge, Iowa

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our diagnostic imaging team in Fort Dodge, IA. In this full-time position, you’ll be responsible for performing a range of nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and collaborating with our healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety standards and regulations
  • Operate nuclear imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
  • Perform various nuclear medicine procedures, such as cardiac, bone, thyroid, and renal imaging
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and infection control procedures
  • Educate and comfort patients during procedures, ensuring they feel informed and at ease
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Certification or certification-eligible through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceutical handling, and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in nuclear medicine preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
