Director of Accounting – Hospital Setting

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Accounting to join our esteemed healthcare organization. As the Director of Accounting, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the accounting department, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Oversee the financial reporting process, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads and executives to ensure accurate and timely financial planning.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate and facilitate the annual external audit process and maintain effective relationships with auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Provide guidance and support to accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary changes.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• CPA certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive/corporate accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
