Nurse Manager Educator - Operating Room

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Educator specializing in the Operating Room to join our esteemed healthcare organization. As the Nurse Educator - Operating Room, you will play a critical role in providing education, training, and support to our nursing staff in the Operating Room department.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement educational programs and initiatives to enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing staff in the Operating Room.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify educational needs and gaps in practice and collaborate with the healthcare team to address them effectively.
• Design and deliver educational materials, including presentations, workshops, and hands-on training sessions.
• Provide guidance and support to new hires and existing staff, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with nurse managers and leaders to assess competency levels, monitor performance, and provide individualized coaching and mentoring as needed.
• Stay updated with advancements in Operating Room procedures, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into educational materials and programs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback, and make necessary revisions and improvements.
• Serve as a resource for nursing staff, answering questions, providing guidance, and promoting evidence-based practice in the Operating Room.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the Operating Room, with a strong background in a variety of surgical specialties.
• Previous experience in nursing education, staff development, or similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Operating Room procedures, techniques, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate nursing staff.
