The Director of Emergency Room (ER) oversees the operational, clinical, and administrative functions of the Emergency Department to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, managing departmental budgets, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and driving performance improvement initiatives. The Director is responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and excellence in one of the hospital's most critical care areas.

Pay: $95,983 - $118,309 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department, ensuring alignment with the hospital’s mission and goals. 
• Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of ER physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff. 
• Ensure that all patients receive high-quality, timely, and compassionate care. 
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance safety and satisfaction. 
• Develop and manage schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels for the 24/7 operations of the Emergency Department. 
• Oversee patient flow and implement strategies to reduce wait times and improve throughput. 

 
Key Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related healthcare field required. 
• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or Business Administration (MBA) preferred. 
• Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience in emergency or critical care settings. 
• At least 3 years of progressive leadership or management experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting. 
• Certifications such as Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
