Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, this position assists with surgical procedures under the guidance of surgeons, registered nurse(s), or additional O.R. personnel.

CST / Surgical Technologist Job Description

• Prepare and understand the specific uses of equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Gather, check, and organize necessary supplies and equipment prior to surgeries.
• Exhibit accountability, professionalism, and openness to change while demonstrating creativity and innovation.
• Calmly manage inherently stressful situations with tact and poise.
• Maintain the highest standards of sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Adapt to new responsibilities and demonstrate flexibility as needed.

Required Qualifications for Surgical Technologist:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program
• AHA BLS certified (within 30 days of hire)
• Current Georgia state Surgical Technologist Registration
